Clinical Advancement Program for Nursing (CAP)
Designed and implemented by staff nurses through the Blueprint for Nursing Excellence process described below, the CAP Program is designed to provide nurses who wish to remain actively involved in direct patient care with the opportunity for professional growth. Advancement will be determined by successfully demonstrating criteria including Professional Development, Clinical Practice, Leadership, Community, and Implementing and Promoting Evidence-Based Practice Models. The staff member's primary job responsibility must be as a staff nurse. Monetary recognition is awarded with annual demonstration of criteria for the level of nurse selected (Clinical Nurse II or III)
Blueprint for Excellence in Nursing
Creative and improved recruitment , retention, training and motivational strategies for nursing staff are crucial in today's competitive environment. Blueprint for Nursing Excellence, a Quorum Health Resources (QHR) based program adopted by LRH in 2006, helps the nursing organization overcome barriers and achieve excellence by following a guided process of continuous improvement designed to proactively transform core processes of the nursing work environment. Nursing staff has been key to our success with this process, involved in the decisions and development of policy concerning their practice environment.
Nursing is a wonderfully rewarding profession, and Littleton Regional Healthcare is a one-of-a-kind place to be a nurse.
