Littleton Regional Healthcare is pleased to announce that Christine Mealey, RN, MSN has obtained certification as a Diabetes Educator through the National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators. In order to sit for the exam Ms. Mealey had to meet a discipline/licensure requirement, obtain 1000 hours of professional practice experience providing Diabetes Education, and obtain minimum continuing education hours.
The Certified Diabetes Educator certification is a robust 4-hour exam that requires a broad base of knowledge. Of the candidates who sit for the exam only 70-80% will be granted Certification.
